(Hot Pipes/Interior of Refractory, Furnaces & Boilers) Description:
It is a unique formula loaded with a higher solids blend of eight ceramics that offer insulation against extreme heat in refractory, furnace and boiler industries. It is designed to stay intact with constant adhesion when facing temperatures above 2000 OF. It resembles a thick house paint that is best applied by airless or an air assisted hopper gun spray unit (65:1 ratio) and pumping at 3 gallons per minute with a minimum of 3000 psi with carbon steel tips (size 0.065 tip). USES:
Refractory Coating is designed to bond with metal, masonry, wood, and other porous surface substrates. It can be applied over old paint if it is bonded securely to surface. It can be applied directly over the exposed face of the refractory to protect the brick. It can be used for hot pipe insulation over foam or existing wrap insulation, and directly to the pipe. When utilized behind the refractory material or brick inside a furnace or boiler, there will be a reduction of no less than 35% in fuel use and extended use of the refractory coatings and bricks.
